Environmental Management System
Imtech has implemented an Environmental Management System certified by AENOR European Standard UNE-EN ISO 14001:2004, the main reference in this field worldwide.
Continuous improvement in the implementation of this system is reinforced with training plans and environmental awareness developed by Imtech, in addition to the Environmental Handbook, which contains all the necessary documentation of actions and working methods that ensure achieving the objectives for the care and respect for the environment.
The company has an Environmental Policy as part of its commitment to conduct its activities including environmental protection, and implementing and keeping its Environmental Management System based on the following principles:
- Take all necessary steps, in each workplace, to comply with environmental regulations and other requirements applicable to our activities at European, National, Regional and Local.
- Take the necessary steps to prevent pollution, assessing in advance the environmental impact of our activities, developing a sustainable use of natural resources, promoting energy efficiency in all activities of manufacturing, assembly and maintenance, reducing the use of hazardous chemicals, and unnecessary use of water, as far as possible, and encouraging reuse and recycling practices.
- Manage and treat our waste in the most environmentally friendly and minimize the generation of the same on our operations.
- Periodically identify the needs of environmental training staff, establishing the appropriate training plans to improve the awareness and competence thereof.
- Disseminate and communicate this policy to all stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, management and general public), awareness among workers on respect for the environment.
- Define and periodically review the objectives and targets established in compliance with this policy, in the process of continuous improvement of our business.
- Enforce environmental requirements to our subcontractors.
