Project for Imtech Spain to improve energy efficiency of the Cepsa refinery boiler in San Roque (Cádiz)

Imtech Spain has been awarded a project to improve the energy efficiency in the YB-3 boiler of the Cepsa refinery in San Roque (Cádiz) by AITESA, the engineering specialist in boilers. AITESA is responsible for the engineering and development of a solution to improve boiler efficiency and reduce emissions. In order to achieve this, the current fuel – fuel oil – will be replaced by fuel gas, using new burners with low nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.

The work to be performed by Imtech Spain includes the assembly of the lighting of the boiler, the supply, manufacture, assembly and disassembly of the furnace and pipes between the boiler’s reboilers, and the required general facilities thereof. Imtech Spain is also responsible for the supply, manufacture and forming of the boiler´s tubes, as well as the outside smoke cover plate, using a 3 mm refractory plate for the covering of the boiler.
