Imtech Spain received an award from BP Oil for its excellent management of occupational risk prevention

Imtech Spain received an award from BP Oil for its excellent management of occupational risk prevention at the Castellon refinery. In an official announcement, BP emphasised ‘the excellent performance of its Safety functions, that is being reflected in the results obtained in 2014’.

It is not the first time that the BP Oil España refinery recognises the effort and excellent results obtained by Imtech. Imtech received an award in 2012 for its management with regards to safety at this site. Previously, in other large-scale projects such
as the construction of the ‘delayed coker project’ within the BP Oil facilities, it has been recognised on several occasions as a model company with regards to safety.

Imtech Spain’s management is notable for being integrated into the activities of all departments. During 2015, one of the company’s objectives is to continue working, through leadership and motivation, to reinforce the safety culture.

For its part, the BP refinery at Castellón, with more than 2 million hours worked in 2014, achieved the general objective of the BP group at an international level of ‘0 accidents’. This reaffirms it as one of the safest, efficient and reliable refineries of the British group.
