After more than two years of execution, Imtech has completed the integral installations of the new German school located in the district of Montecarmelo, in Madrid, which was awarded by the German body Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung.

Imtech was responsible for the execution and start-up of the mechanical, electrical and elevator installations of the new school, which opened its doors this September.

The new school complex, designed by the German architect Grüntuch Ernst, occupies a surface of 34,700 m² distributed over 5 buildings: Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary, Sports Pavilion and garage and will also include a dining room, assembly hall, green areas and offices.
Its facilities, environmentally sustainable, have made it worthy of the “Prize of Architecture and Energy”, considered one of the most important architectural awards in Germany.

This project is also notable for being considered the largest civil construction of the Federal Republic of Germany abroad for the last executed.
